The best course of action will always depend on each individual person’s need. That being said, there are two treatments that produce spectacular results on their own, and absolutely dazzling results when combined: microblading and lash lift and tint.
Step 1: Define your brows with microblading
Some call it feathering, others prefer 3D brows, others still know it as microstroking. But one thing everyone in the know can agree on is that microblading is perhaps the best, fastest way to achieve your dream eyebrows. This technique, which falls within the realm of cosmetic tattooing, has seen a huge surge in popularity in recent years. How does it work? In a nutshell, a trained technician uses a superfine row of needles to create extremely thin, hair-like marks on the skin to mimic the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs. A numbing agent is typically applied before the procedure to minimize pain. It’s perfect for correcting asymmetrical, overplucked or poorly defined brows in a totally natural-looking manner. This method of defining eyebrows is considered semi-permanent, as pigments are only deposited in the superficial layers of the skin.
Step 2: Upgrade your eyelash game with lash lift and tint
Break your mascara addiction once and for all! Lash lifting and tinting is a long-lasting alternative to conventional eyelash extensions and mascara. It’s actually a two-part affair: first, the lashes are “lifted”—think of this as a perm for your eyelashes. This curls them from the root to create a naturally perky, lengthened effect. Then, a tint (usually black) is applied to the eyelashes, effectively eliminating the need for mascara altogether. This treatment duo typically lasts between four and six weeks and costs around $85 to $100.
