- Body treatments are a key contributing element to the full spa experience.
- Students will focus on both theoretical and practical aspects of massage and various body treatments including wraps, scrubs, etc.
- A strong focus will be placed on client care and practical application.
Course Outline
Topics covered include (but not limited to):
- Anatomy and physiology
- Types of massage movements (including Effleurage, petrissage, Friction, Dr. Jacquet Movement, Percussion, Vibration)
- Client consultation and analysis including indications and contraindications
- Practical work in the clinic including back treatments, hot stone massage, aromatherapy massage, relaxation massage, salt scrubs.
