How to Make Your Eyebrows Accentuate Your Look? – Learn the Best Techniques from Your Leading Cosmetology College

The right brow pencil is like a magic wand for your eyebrows. But without the right technique, your makeup routine can ruin the rest of your look and make your eyebrows look unnatural. Whether your eyebrows are too light, sparse or uneven, mastering eyebrow makeup can be more difficult and intricate than you think. Accentuating your look or overall facial appearance can be accomplished by taking the following four steps into consideration.

Prepping for Eyebrow make-up

  1. Start with a clean face. For the best results, wash your face before you begin applying any makeup. Also, be sure to choose the right eyebrow pencil to match your hair colour. Keep in mind that if you opt for a harder pencil, the line on the brow will be harsher. Softer pencils allow the wax to coat the brow hair, providing a more natural look and more control over the darkness of the line. Harder pencils can also break more easily.
  2. Brush your eyebrows out. Investing in a brow brush with a spoolie on one end and an angled brush on the other can work wonders for your eyebrows. Brush them up and out so you can see where the hairs are sitting and even them out properly.
  3. Fill in the gaps. Short and light strokes will help you match the length of your brows. Once you have gently filled in the gaps, you can begin thickening your natural arch. But do not fill in the brow, as this will make your eyebrows look too harsh. You can also extend the tail of your eyebrow a bit if you find the hairs to be sparse.
  4. Brush your brows again. Once you have filled in your eyebrows, you will want to soften the lines by brushing your eyebrows again. This provides a more natural looking brow. You can also use volumizing eyebrow gel to provide a fuller-looking brow if your hairs are sparse. If you do not have gel, you can also apply a bit of hair spray on your spoolie and brush it through to keep your brows in place.
