Your Ideal Night Skincare Routine

Night Skincare

Implementing a nighttime skincare routine is a form of self-care that anyone can benefit from, and it only takes a few minutes! You’ll find yourself looking rejuvenated and energized, all thanks to these quick and easy steps.

Remove your makeup

Most of us know that you should never go to bed with your makeup on, no matter how tired you are. Every step of your bedtime skincare routine is important, but this one absolutely essential. Look for a makeup remover that’s strong enough to remove even the toughest waterproof mascara, but that’s also gentle on your skin.

Clean your skin

A good cleanser will clean your face by removing dirt, oil, dead skin cells and any residual makeup that you might have missed in the first step. This is key to unclogging pores and preventing breakouts. We recommend opting for gentle cleansers to avoid irritating your skin.

Apply toner

Pat your face dry with a soft cloth, then rub a quarter-sized dollop of toner into your skin. Toner balances your skin’s pH and moisture levels and will help reduce the appearance of large pores and keep oily skin under control. This product is often ignored, but it has so many benefits that we can’t recommend it enough.

Take care of targeted treatments

This next step of your nighttime skincare routine can be tailored to meet any specific needs or concerns you might have. Some people may opt for a hydrating serum, while others may prefer a brightening serum. If you’ve been prescribed any skincare products by your dermatologist, this is the time to apply them.

Apply night cream

Finally, you need to apply your night cream, which will moisturize your skin. Night cream is also important for ensuring that the previous steps of your routine don’t go to waste, as it seals in their effects. Since you leave it on throughout the night, be sure to clean off any residue when you wake up in the morning.
